In The Cup: Jasmine, watermelon, Meyer lemon, Earl Grey tea
The Kebena Forest Farm is spread over an area of around 400 hectares in the Limu Kossa district of Oromia in the southwest of Ethiopia. The farm has approximately 65 permanent workers, and has provided them with housing as well as a full-time nurse for healthcare.
After the coffee is harvested, the cherries go through a meticulous process that includes a detailed sorting, allowing only ripe cherries to pass, a two-part fermentation (with agitation and clean water replacement), and both shaded-patio then raised-bed drying. This rigorous process helps to refine the coffee's flavors.
The cup is well structured and refined, with notes of jasmine, Earl Grey tea, watermelon, and Meyer lemon. We're very excited to start this new partnership with our friends at Trabocca, and we're looking forward to a lot of great coffee to come.
