Groundwork is committed to community involvement. We participate in hundreds of local community events annually; including fund raisers, clean-up projects and the local arts. Groundwork has also spearheaded food drives, and has been a key contributor of product and funding to KCRW public radio for more than ten years.
We are constantly rotating the artwork in our retail stores with the majority of work being drawn or painted from the local artist community. Our store in Hollywood has presented a “performers night” which spotlights local, emerging singer/songwriters and in 2012 we will launch our Indie Garage Art Series which will feature the work of local artists in all of our cafes.
Some of the local organizations we have supported in the recent past include The Hilltop Nursery School, The West LA Holiness Chruch, the LA Conservation Corps, The Garden School Foundation, The Ocean Charter School, Selma Avenue Elementary School, Step Up Women's Network, Environmental Charter High School, St. Barnabas Senior Services and many others.
